Fairtrade Final Total

We are absolutely delighted to share with you that Houston Primary School in partnership with Houston and Killellan Kirk raised an amazing £608.70 for Fairtrade.  Thank you to all who supported us by purchasing Fairtrade chocolate treats.

Chocolate Stirrers Pop Up Stall

Following our very successful, ‘Chocolicious Delicious’ Fairtrade event in the village, we returned to school to sell Fairtrade chocolate stirrers to our pupils. We sold an amazing 242 on the first day!

 On Friday 1st March Houston Primary School set up Chocolicious…Delicious at the West Halls in Houston in partnership with Houston and Kilellan Kirk. The doors opened to the community to raise funds for Fairtrade. Pupils prepared Fairtrade chocolate stirrers and tray-bakes prior to the event with support from staff and parents. On the day, the stirrers were added to milk to make delicious Fairtrade hot chocolate. A wonderful selection of Fairtrade home baking was also provided by volunteers from the Houston and Killellan Kirk. The event was an amazing success and raised much needed funds for the Fairtrade Foundation.

In school we also had our very own Fairtrade shop for our pupils and staff to purchase hot chocolate stirrers.
